City Centre Management Derby (CCMDerby) is part of Derby City Council with a remit to support business and retail liaison in Derby city centre. By undertaking certain roles and responsibilities on behalf of the city council, CCMDerby provides a key focal point for businesses to be involved and influence the development of the city centre and address key issues.
CCMDerby should be the first point of contact for any business in Derby city centre:
- Providing a contact mechanism for retailers and businesses located in Derby city centre
- Linking in with the City Centre Management Group (CCMG), which sets the vision and the strategy for the city centre
- Providing a forum for collective business activity and discussion to promote the different facets of Derby
- Providing a liaison with other private sector partners and public sector departments
- Working closely with the Cathedral Quarter Company (Business Improvement District) and BID2
- Managing the Cathedral Quarter rangers
- Managing the space hire in the Market Place and other sites across the city centre for use by commercial, community and charity organisations.
- Linking in with the Community Safety Tasking groups to support a cleaner, safer, greener agenda
- Promoting Derby as a Christmas shopping destination through a combined media approach in conjunction with Marketing Derby
- Managing the Retail Sales Monitor, providing city footfall data and comparisons on performance with businesses across the city.
