In conjunction with organisations such as City Growth, Cityscape and the Derby City Partnership, we have re-established the role of City Centre Management, which will lead to the development and implementation of a city centre action plan.
As well as a strategic overview of city centre activities, general day to day enquiries handled by the team include:
• Co-ordinating the commercial use of the city’s streets
• Community safety liaison
• Regulation of Buskers and Big Issue sellers.
• Retail sales monitors
• Guidance regarding outdoor street cafés
• Regulating vehicle permits to pedestrianised areas
